Free Inquiry Project 3
This week I added two videos to track where I am at with juggling, and it was honestly a bit humbling to watch them back. But I am glad I have them up on the blog so that hopefully I can inspire others to get out there and express themselves with something new. Try brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand! Trying new things is always good for the brain.
In the first video, I am attempting to juggle three balls as a complete beginner. You can clearly see how rushed everything feels. My throws are inconsistent, my timing is off, and I am mostly reacting instead of controlling the pattern. Even though it is messy, I am glad I recorded it because it gives me something real to come back to later. I want to use it as a baseline so I can actually see improvement instead of just guessing whether I am getting better.
The second video shows me using juggling scarves that I borrowed from a friend. This has been a huge help. Because the scarves float and fall much slower than balls, the whole pattern feels calmer. I actually have time to think about my throws and focus on getting the timing right. It has helped me understand the rhythm of juggling instead of just scrambling to catch.
Here is a link to buy your own juggling scarves if you want some!

Seeing the difference between the two videos makes it clear that slowing things down has been an important step in building the foundation before moving back to balls.
