Free Inquiry Project 5 – The Final Reflection
This is my final post for my free inquiry on juggling, and overall it has been a really fun and rewarding experience. I included two videos in this post to show where my skills are at now, and I decided to film them outside, which I actually really enjoyed. It felt more relaxed than practicing indoors, and having more space made it easier to focus.
Throughout this process, I worked through different progressions, starting with scarves, then bean bags, and finally juggling balls. Learning with scarves first was one of the best decisions I made because it slowed everything down and helped me understand the basic pattern. From there, moving to bean bags and then balls felt much more manageable. I also got a lot of helpful tips from friends who already knew how to juggle, which made a big difference and kept me motivated.
I even tried to add a challenge by doing a 360 while juggling, but I was not quite able to pull it off yet. It definitely showed me that I still have room to improve, but it was fun to try.
To answer the reflection questions, I did enjoy this inquiry as much as I expected, if not more. It was satisfying to see progress over time. If I could give advice to myself or other students, it would be to pick something you are genuinely interested in and be patient with the process. The most enjoyable part for me was seeing small improvements each week. Recording videos with my phone was the most helpful EdTech tool because it allowed me to track my progress and reflect on how my skills developed over time, however youtube and in general just research on the internet were also extremely helpful.
Please enjoy the videos bellow, laugh, learn, and have fun, all the best to future students in this course if you see this. Thank you Rich for your teachings and sharing of knowledge over the last semester!
